Common troubleshooting steps

Android notification delays (Water Reminder)

Modern Android devices automatically restrict apps running in the background to preserve battery life. If your water reminders arrive late:

  1. Open your device Settings > Apps > Water Reminder.
  2. Tap Battery or App battery usage.
  3. Change the setting from Optimised to Unrestricted.
  4. Ensure Allow background data and Alarms & reminders are enabled.

Download interruptions (FlowFetch)

If a background download or torrent pauses unexpectedly:

  1. Check that FlowFetch has battery optimization disabled as outlined above.
  2. Verify that the destination storage folder has sufficient free disk space.
  3. For torrents, check peer availability — low-seed transfers may take longer to find active peers.
  4. Ensure battery saver mode is disabled while transferring large files over Wi-Fi.

Web tools & calculator cache issues

Lumarc DevTools and Construction Calculators run 100% client-side in your browser. If a tool exhibits unexpected behaviour:

  1. Perform a hard refresh: press Ctrl+F5 (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
  2. Check whether browser extensions (e.g. ad blockers or script blockers) are interfering with local scripts.
  3. No user input is ever uploaded to a server, so your input data remains secure and private.

How to submit an effective bug report

To help us reproduce and resolve bugs quickly, please include:

  • The exact product name (e.g. FlowFetch, DevTools JSON Formatter, Water Reminder).
  • Your device model, OS version (e.g. Android 14, macOS 14.5) and browser version.
  • The exact steps taken before the error occurred and any error message displayed.
